Erica is quite right, Ian, as are you about her. It’s so cool the way you capture her physicality in the graceful words she chooses to use. Yet, you bring your own touch via your extensive fun and play with technology. She notices and appreciates it all, as she seems to do with all facets [...]

Oh Ian, I thank you. You are quite marvelous with all of this–a true gift to us all.
I have a small correction with the following quote:
“everything shaped ~ floor rising into you ~ opposites uniting ~ feeling the shoulders roll with ease”
instead:
“shaped by the fall, you release ~ floor rising into you ~ opposites [...] -

I find that Erica’s wording is by far the best part of her classes – (although her vinyasas ain’t bad either). She has fantastic wording, with great imagery, and playfulness, throw in some spirituality, and top it off with a commanding presence – she is an authority of Yoga!
So on the 13th of April I [...]

- Hola Shanti everybody –
I wanted to share what i drew up from our Vinyasa Jam Session during our last intensive. We did an awesome job at creating some unique vinyasas. Let me know if any of them are confusing in the way that i drew them.*note some times I had to draw the [...]

I found these odd pictures of presumably “housewives” from the mid 20th century. Some of the moves may not actually constitute a Yoga classifier but whatever.

A couple days ago, I happened upon an in chair asana practice online. I think its a good wake-me-up en lieu of sitting on my “assana” and not doing anything. I’m also hoping that we can convince Erica to do a more well rounded version of chair yoga. Anyway here is the link.

katie commented on the blog post LYTT December Intensive Review 7 months, 1 week ago
The weekend intensive this December was filled with great discussion of the Gita. I found the many opinions and interpretations of the book interesting. I can see how the many verses in the book can be taken literally or hold specific meaning to someone; however, I feel that it is a beautiful story that should [...]

Yoga is how I express myself. It is the first thing I want to do when I wake up. I recently learned Mandala Namaskar. A simple vigorous practice designed to focus on imbalances in the body. I have been practicing many kinds of yoga. I am interested in the point of cooperation between these forms [...]
